We slept in longer than normal, and then headed to the
Tate Museum of
Modern Art. There were many museums in
London we could have visited, but Kelli chose this one.
The weather was indeed cloudy and it looked like it
might rain at any time, so it's a good thing we switched
our Thursday events with today's. As with most museums,
taking photographs is not allowed, so we don't have much
to show for this day. Here are a few of the museum as we
were walking towards it from the Millennium Bridge.

Time for a lunch break at the museum's cafe
Once we wrapped up our museum visit, we really didn't have any
plans for the rest of the evening. Plus, we were pretty beat
from walking through the exhibits all day. So we headed back
to the hotel. During our walk to the tube, we passed an
interesting "church" that I just had to take
a picture of. Sadly, no Tom Cruise, John Travolta, or Isaac
Hayes sighting occurred during our brief time there.

Free brainwashing. Inquire within.
Unfortunately, our ride in the tube coincided with rush hour.
It took us five attempts before we successfully
got into a railcar. They must have crammed over two hundred
people in our tram alone! It was wall-to-wall people, and
you literally could not move. We were wondering how in the
world we were going to get off when our stop came! And the
funny thing is that nobody was saying a word. Nobody
made eye contact, or made joking comments about packing us in
like sardines. Must be a London thing. Or perhaps they're
used to it. Anyway, we finally did make it off, and during
our walk to find another dinner spot Kelli had found in our
travel guide, we actually passed a restaurant called
Nando's.
A friend at church who had visited
London numerous times (and found out we were going) recommended
this chain to me before we left the States. Chicken was their
primary meal of choice, which suited us just fine, so we
decided to give it a try. All I can say is... "Wow!"
This place served the best chicken meal I've had in a long
while! Kelli and I both loved it. And unlike most London
restaurants, this one had free drink refills!!!
Woo hoo! That alone made it worth the visit. We liked it
so much that we wound up eating there again for lunch the
next day. If ever you find yourself in London, be sure to
give this place a try.

Wishing this sign would come to America

Eat your heart out, Chick-fil-A!!
With our tummies full, we headed back to our hotel, checked our
email, sent a few emails ourselves, and then turned in for
the night. Tomorrow would be very busy, as it was a
whole day dedicated to just one thing... shopping!
